Mike graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. As an undergraduate student, he worked as a researcher at CU Boulder, investigating causes of hysteresis during desorption of gases from zeolites, and participated in the Chemical Engineering Honor Society.
In 2017, Mike was a summer intern at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Denver. Previously, for a short while, he worked in the biotech pharmaceutical industry as a design team member researching spray drying and lyophilization alternatives for freezing active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Mike also has a background in music and plays several different instruments. At CU, Mike participated in the Golden Buffalo Marching Band as a Tenor Drummer in the drumline. As a Colorado native, Mike also enjoys skiing and ice hockey.
